Justification
We sometimes hear preachers, teachers, and others use words that I call "Church Words". I wonder how well we understand those words. A case in point is "justification". I have heard it defined as "just as it never happened", well meaning, I suppose, but quite inaccurate to describe what God has done for us when He justified the redeemed. Permit me to give you what I think is a better definition.....
Justification is a bestowal of new standing before God which is a declarative act of God, grounded in the work of Christ on a condition of faith that gives freedom from condemnation and restores one to divine favor.
